Hamburger Cupcakes

These so far have to be the most fun cupcakes I've made so far.  You will get everyone looking twice when they realize there cupcakes!

If you are in a hurry to make these you can totally use some box mixes for brownies and cupcakes.  The French fries are made with a pound cake loaf, but you can buy one from your local grocery store in the bakery department.

The cupcakes are your standard yellow mix.

Brownies:
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
4 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup coco powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
1 cup walnuts (optional)

-----

1.  Preheat your oven to 350' while you are preparing the Brownie Mix
2.  Mix the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla till they are well blended
3.  Mix all the dry ingredients together separately
4.  Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture.
5.  Pour into a 9 x 13 baking dish or pan
6.  Bake for about 30 minutes or until the brownies start to separate from the edges of the baking dish or pan. Let cool toughly.

You will also need:

Flaked coconut
Green food coloring
Container of vanilla frosting
Starbursts candy: Orange, yellow, and red.
Honey
Water
Sesame seeds
Round cookie cutter

After making the cupcakes and brownies, let them cool.  When they are cool to the touch peel off the wrapper and cut the cupcakes in half.

After cutting them in half, cut your brownies into circles (patty shapes) with the round cookie cutter. Put a little blob of vanilla icing on the bottom of the cupcake to help hold everything together.

Next up you'll have to slightly warm up some starburst candies in the microwave for about 12 seconds, just enough to have them malleable, but not melted.  Now just roll out your candies into some shapes like ketchup and mustard.  For the cheese, cut the orange ones into a square shape after rolling it out. In-between each layer make sure to put a tiny amount of icing to help everything stay in place.

All that's left is to make the Fries.  To make them just lay the pound cake on its side, and cut into slices like bread. Next, cut the slices into strips to about the thickness of fries. This next part requires no distractions, put them onto a cookies sheet with some parchment paper and set the oven to BROIL at 350'. Move the oven rack to the highest position in the oven and then put the pound cake fries in the oven for about 10-15 seconds. They will burn really easily, so keep your eyes on them.

All that is left is assembly.  After the cupcake burger had been put together, you want to brush the top of the cupcakes with a water/honey mixture to help let the sesame seeds stick to the tops.  In order to help keep everything together and make it easy to pick up, put a toothpick through the cupcakes.  Add a couple of fries and your are all done.
